Mönchengladbach, Deutschland - last night Mönchengladbach was haunted by a violent storm! From 6:30 p.m., the emergency call phones rang at the fire brigade - basement ran full, streets were flooded and canal lids were pushed up. A total of 20 missions came together until after midnight, with special priorities in the districts of Hardt, Holt and Venn.

The fire brigade was in use around the clock! Careers from the fire and rescue guards in Neuwerk and Holt as well as numerous volunteer firefighters from Hardt, Neuwerk, Rheindahlen, Rheydt and city center were ready to cope with the situation. The emergency services were well organized while protecting the city from the consequences of the storm.
