Brazen shock call: senior citizen loses gold bars in Hildesheim!

Sprengerstraße, Hildesheim, Deutschland - On May 27, 2025, a senior citizen in Hildesheim fell victim to a brazen shock call. An unknown informed her that a relative was involved in a fatal traffic accident. In a desperate attempt to help, the elderly woman handed over valuable gold bars to a messenger that appeared at her front door.

The messenger is described as about 170 cm tall, thin and between 30 and 50 years old, with dark hair. The Hildesheim police are urgently looking for witnesses who may have seen suspicious people or vehicles between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in Sprengerstrasse between Tappenstraße and Hostmanstrasse.
