Shock in traffic: patrol cars overturned after Crash in Mitte!
Alexanderstraße, 10178 Berlin, Deutschland - Last night there was a shocking traffic accident in Berlin-Mitte, in which a patrol car and a VW collided. Around 8:25 p.m., a 55-year-old woman drove on Alexanderstrasse when she was trying to drive past a waiting 58-year-old motorcyclist at a traffic light that just switched from red to green. At the same time, the 26-year-old police officer approached the intersection with his patrol car and there was a dramatic collision in which the police car overturned and landed on the side.
The VW driver suffered several broken bones and had to be taken to the hospital. Fortunately, the police officer and his two colleagues were able to leave the accident car independently over the passenger door, but suffered abrasives and head injuries and ended their service prematurely after outpatient treatment. Alexanderstrasse was closed to both vehicles and pedestrians from 8:30 p.m. to around 1 a.m., which also significantly impaired local public transport. The traffic investigators of the police department 4 have taken over the damage and investigation.
