Zeche Aachen, Deutschland - in Much there was a dramatic accident on Friday evening when a 31-year-old man from Waldbröl raced into a ditch with his Seat. The alcoholic driver lost control at “Zeche Aachen” at 9:30 p.m. on the L312 in a left turn and crashed into a pasture fence before he came to a field. The property damage incurred amounts to around 10,000 euros, but fortunately the driver was unharmed.

When the police arrived, the man was in the process of drinking from a beer bottle and claimed to have consumed after the accident. A breath alcohol test resulted in alarming 1.3 per thousand. To check his statement, two blood samples were taken from him. The officials secured his driver's license and initiated criminal proceedings for hazardous to road traffic.
