Taxic controls in Düren: Four vehicles without insurance pulled out of circulation!

In a nightly campaign from Friday to Saturday, investigators from the Düren transport service carried out targeted controls of taxis and rental car in the district of Düren in cooperation with the Düren Road Traffic Office and the Aachen Eichamt. The aim was to increase the safety of passengers. Several vehicles immediately noticed during the controls: a taxi driver was just about to record a passenger when it was found that his vehicle had no valid insurance coverage. His license plate was immediately cleared and the onward journey was prohibited.

But that was not the only problem: another taxi of the same company also had no insurance coverage. A rental car in the Jülich urban area was also stopped because he had no prescribed route counter and could not show an exemption. Another rental car in front of Düren train station had not been brought to the Eichamt for a long time, which also led to immediate decommissioning. A total of 12 vehicles were checked at night - four of which had to be pulled out of traffic immediately. The police announced that these controls continue to increase traffic safety sustainably.
