Saarland in the speed rush: Police announce controls!
In the coming week, from June 16 to 22, 2025, the Saarland police will carry out comprehensive speed controls on several critical streets and motorway sections. The measures aim at accident hotspots to increase traffic safety. Among other things, the federal highways B 41 and B 268 as well as various motorway sections such as the BAB 6, BAB 8 and BAB 620 are checked.
In particular, routes between Neunkirchen and St. Wendel as well as the A8 between the state border with Luxembourg and the Merzig junction are particularly affected. The police also warn that in addition to the planned controls, spontaneous speed monitoring is also possible, which could replace announced measurements.
