A serious traffic accident occurred on Thursday morning at 11:45 a.m. on the B 51 between Lembruch and Diepholz. A 24-year-old driver from Guben intended to turn right into a side street and reduced her speed. However, the 59-year-old scooter driver from Osnabrück noticed this too late and crashed into the standing car. Due to the impact, he fell and was caught under his vehicle, but could quickly be freed by first aiders. The scooter driver only suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for further treatment. The material damage is estimated at around 13,000 euros.

On the same day, there was another accident on the B 6 at Syke, in which an 84-year-old man got oncoming with his car. He collided with a total of two vehicles, including a Skoda and a caravan team. The old man wore minor injuries, while the total damage is estimated at at least 45,000 euros. The B 6 was closed for two and a half hours. At the same time, a 74-year-old man was caught with 1.88 per thousand alcohol in the blood on the B 6 and lost his driver's license.
