Fire alarm in the Beckum town hall: Technical defect ensures chaos!

On Monday, June 2, 2025, the police were alerted at 9:55 a.m. due to heavy smoke from the town hall on Weststrasse in Beckum. When the emergency services arrived, the town hall was immediately cleared. Firefighters hurried to help and were able to quickly extinguish the fire in a toilet.

First investigations indicate that a technical defect on an installed fan could have triggered the fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries, the situation could be quickly brought under control.
