A driver raced 112 km/h over the L 574 in Heek last week - and at the permitted 70 km/h! The traffic service of the Borken district police authority caught him! The consequences are uncomfortable: a driving ban, 104 administrative offenses and 512 imposed warning funds - that is the balance sheet after speed control.

But that was just the beginning! In the past few days, the police have recorded 12 checkpoints in the Borken district along with 6446 vehicles, with about 10 percent exceeding the top speed. The main causes of serious traffic accidents are still carelessness and frenzy, often with tragic consequences - also for uninvolved third parties. The traffic service remains hard and continues its speed measurements in the coming week to prevent accidents and make the streets safer!
