In the afternoon of today, the Bocholt fire brigade was alerted to a fire on Moddenburgstrasse at 3:50 p.m., where a fire broke out in an extension of a residential building. Fortunately, all residents had left the building unharmed when the emergency services arrived. The extension was heavily smoky, but the fire brigade was able to act quickly with several squads under heavy breathing protection.

Thanks to rapid extinguishing measures, the flames to the adjacent residential building was successfully prevented. The roof area of ​​the affected extension was also checked while the fire brigade secured the house. The entire area was ventilated and the fire material was completely extinguished. Around 60 full-time and volunteer forces were on duty to control the situation.
