On Tuesday morning, May 27th, a serious accident occurred on Schwarzenberger Strasse. A 12-year-old was hit by a gray Kia when he suddenly left the bike path to cross the street. The 55-year-old driver of the vehicle could no longer prevent the collision despite a full braking.

The boy was brought to a hospital with serious injuries where he is treated inpatient. The driver suffered a shock, but remains physically intact. The Duisburg police are now investigating the exact course of the accident.
