Brazen theft in Lebach: 72-year-old woman victim of tricksters

On Friday afternoon, a 72-year-old woman in Lebbach was the victim of a brazen theft in a parking lot of a shopping market on Poststrasse. While the woman was sitting on the driver's seat of her car after purchasing, an approximately 40-year-old man with strong stature and black hair spoke to her in English. He claimed that something was wrong under the car, whereupon the woman briefly out.

At that moment, a second person took the opportunity to go to the passenger side unnoticed. The accomplice opened the handbag standing in the passenger seat and stole the wallet of the 72-year-old. The theft only noticed the woman later when it was already too late. The police encourage witnesses to report and give information.
