Truck accident in the port of Trier: Hazardgust supporters overturns!

In the night from May 26th to May 27th, 2025, a spectacular traffic accident occurred in Montanstrasse in Trier: a truck trailer loaded with dangerous goods overturned! The Trier professional fire brigade immediately moved out and confirmed that the hazardous substance was a cleaning agent. Under protective equipment, the emergency services managed to partially unload the overturned trailer and secure the damaged containers. Fortunately, there was no hazardous substance, so that the environment was not endangered.

The rescue of the truck was tricky and dragged on until late in the morning. Montanstrasse remained completely closed throughout the entire time, which led to long traffic jams for truck traffic. The road could not be released until 10:30 a.m. The exact damage is still unclear, but the most important thing: there were no injuries! Numerous firefighters and the Schweich police inspection were deployed.
