In a first case, an 82-year-old woman from Pelkum received a call from a supposed bank employee. The caller warned her of an alleged suspicious debit and asked her to hand over her debit card and pin to a pick -up that appeared at her door a short time later. The fraudsters then lifted a four -digit amount at the ATM before the injured party discovered the fraud.

The perpetrators left a concise description: they have brown skin, short, smooth, dark hair and are about 25 to 30 years old. They were dressed in a green T-shirt and dark jeans. The Hamm police urgently warns of such attempts to fraud and recommends that you never pass on personal bank details to unknown people on the phone.
