A dramatic accident caused a sensation on Tuesday, June 3, on the B241 in Borgentreich-Lütgeneder. A 62-year-old driver has strayed from the street with his stately 7 Series BMW and crashed into a tree. Although it was slightly injured and was able to climb out of the vehicle independently, the property damage amounts to an impressive 50,000 euros.

The Höxter police are now investigating the exact circumstances of the incident and asks for evidence of witnesses. A white van could have played a crucial role. He drove in front of the BMW, first wanted to turn left, but then decided to continue straight ahead-at this moment an alternative action by the BMW driver could have occurred. The road was completely closed during the accident. The driver is currently being treated in the hospital.
