Bicycle accident in Mönchengladbach: 53-year-old seriously injured!

On Sunday, June 1st, there was a dramatic bicycle accident on Jülich Strasse in Mönchengladbach around 5:25 p.m. A 53-year-old fell at the confluence with the Josef-Herzhoff-Weg and suffered so serious injuries that a rescue helicopter was requested. The injured person was quickly flown to a clinic and admitted there.

The police blocked the accident area over several hours to clarify the exact cause of the accident. So far there is no indication that other road users were involved in the incident. The investigation of the traffic commissioner is running.
