E-scooter warning: 14-year-old injured in the red light accident!

A 14-year-old e-scooter driver was slightly injured in Kempen on Saturday evening when he crossed a street at Red. The young person, who illegally moved on the sidewalk of the Möhlenring, rammed himself by car that was directed by a 49-year-old driver. Despite immediate brakes, the driver could no longer prevent a collision.

The incident occurred at the confluence with Ludwig-Jahn-Straße. Both vehicles were damaged, and fortunately the e-scooter driver only suffered minor injuries. The police are reminiscent of the applicable traffic rules: E-scooters are motor vehicles, and the strict rules, especially the ampell light, must be observed by all road users.
