Germany as a popular travel destination

Germany is not only very popular with locals, but also among international travelers. Cities such as Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and Frankfurt am Main attract vacationers with their sights. Summer, in July and August, in particular records the highest number of overnight stays. In times of increasing importance of sustainability, 16 percent of Germans pay attention to choosing more environmentally friendly options when traveling.

The digital transformation of tourism, especially through online bookings, shapes the future of the travel industry in Germany. At the same time, the destinations, also due to the overtourism and the challenges such as higher rents and garbage, are faced with a variety of tasks to meet the needs of future generations.
