Pirelli triumphs: Best all-weather tire 2025 awarded by AvD!

Today, October 28, 2025, Pirelli can record another great success as the company was named “Best All Season Manufacturer of the Year”. This honor was awarded by the Automobile Club of Germany (AvD) and the renowned AutoBild magazine. Pirelli thus underlines its position as a leading provider in the production of high-quality all-weather tires.

The award is based on the excellent performance of the two models from the Pirelli All Season SF3 product range: Cinturato All Season SF3 and Scorpion All Season SF3. Both tires achieved the highest recognition in their respective categories in the AvD's 2025 comparison tests.

Outstanding performance from the Pirelli models

The Cinturato All Season SF3 is praised for its “versatile and reliable” features. In a comprehensive test in which 30 all-weather tires were examined, it emerged as the clear winner and received the “Exemplary” rating. Its excellent braking performance on both dry and wet surfaces was particularly impressive. Its ability to resist aquaplaning and its consistently high level of safety revealed no weaknesses.

The Scorpion All Season SF3 has established itself as a benchmark for SUVs and has also achieved the highest scores in tests for braking performance, handling and quietness. Both models offer year-round safety on a wide range of road surfaces and are also marked with the 3PMSF symbol (Three Peak Mountain Snowflake), which confirms their reliability in low temperatures and on snow.

Detailed test results and comparisons

In addition to the awards, AUTO BILD 2025 carried out a comprehensive test for all-weather tires in size 225/40 R18, in which 30 models were evaluated. The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 not only shined in this test, but also outperformed other models, such as the new Michelin CrossClimate 3 range, which delivered mixed results. Although these led in the winter conditions, they were unable to convince in wet situations and thus took places behind Pirelli overall.

With the standard version of the CrossClimate 3, Michelin achieved the best values in snow, but showed weaknesses in the wet and ended up in 7th place overall. In comparison, the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 offered balanced performance and delivered reliable results in a variety of weather conditions, although wear rates were higher. It's worth taking a look at the test results:

Place Model Special features
1. Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 Exemplary braking and handling characteristics
2. Continental AllSeasonContact 2 Good overall behavior
3. Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport Strong performance in dry-wet conditions

Innovations and future prospects

Pirelli keeps up with the times and uses advanced virtual modeling techniques in product development to constantly work on the best solutions. The two models are available in different sizes, with the Cinturato All Season SF3 ranging from 15 to 20 inches and the Scorpion All Season SF3 from 17 to 21 inches. They also offer special versions for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles to meet the requirements of modern mobility.

No matter how you look at it, the All Season tires from Pirelli are definitely in high demand and ensure safety all year round. So if you're looking for reliability and performance, you shouldn't miss the latest models in the Pirelli family.
