Drama in Wismar: Man with machete asks the police to shoot!

Wismar, Deutschland - On June 1, 2025, a dramatic incident occurred in the police head area in Wismar. At around 5:00 p.m., a 41-year-old man appeared in a mental state of emergency and rang on the intercom. Apparently he threatened to take his life and took a machete out of his backpack, with which he asked the officials to shoot him.

The police reacted quickly and successfully created a conversation with the man, which finally led to the handover of the machete. Fortunately, nobody was injured during the entire use. The area around the area was closed to access visitors and the emergency services were requested with an emergency doctor to support. The man is now being treated in a clinic with the help of the authorities.
