Serious traffic accident in Weida: Four injured after collision!

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred at the Fortuna crossing between the B92 and the B175 in Weida around 5:00 p.m. An 80-year-old driver of a VW disregarded the right of Audi, whose driver drove the B92. In the collision, both vehicles were damaged so much that they had to be towed.

Four occupants suffered serious injuries. Particularly dramatic: the passenger of the person who caused the accident was injured so badly that he had to be flown to a clinic in Jena with a helicopter. Due to the accident, the federal road remained closed for several hours. The police are now investigating the exact course of the accident.
