Dangerous traffic jam to A643: breakdown vehicle ensures traffic collapse!

On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, a breakdown vehicle on the federal highway 643 in the direction of A60 caused a dangerous traffic jam. At 1:47 p.m. the defective vehicle stopped in the transition area to the A60 and blocked the road. In order to ensure the safety of road users, the police had to completely block the transition towards Darmstadt.

Despite extensive security measures, including warning material and flashing lights, 15 drivers ignored the closure and drove into the blocked area. The police stopped the driver in question and pointed them out to their misconduct. The police emphasize that such measures are binding in accordance with §36 of the Road Traffic Regulations and that non-compliance can have serious consequences for traffic safety.
