Alcoholized Mercedes driver endangers road users in Birnbach!
on Sunday, May 25, 2025, there was a dramatic traffic offense on the B 8 between Birnbach and Kircheib. A 70-year-old Mercedes driver overtook despite oncoming traffic and ensured an almost frontal collision with an oncoming mini. The attentive other driver could only prevent a worse crash by quick reaction - there was only a scratch on the outside mirrors. But the Mercedes driver simply continued his journey without taking care of the incident.
A short time later, a passerby discovered the old Mercedes in a ditch near Fiersbach. The driver tried in vain to escape with reset. During the check, it turned out: the man was heavily drunk. A blood sample was removed, the driver's license was confiscated. In addition, the driver caused further danger at excessive speed in Weyerbusch and almost caught a pedestrian on the crosswalk. The police are now looking for witnesses, especially the driver of the outdated car, to further clarify the dangerous behavior of the 70-year-old.
