Drama on the highway: Four injured to Reifenplatzer!

On Sunday, June 1st, a traffic accident on the BAB A49 at the Ohmtaldreieck caused excitement. Around 4 p.m., a 23-year-old VW driver from Altenkirchen lost control of his vehicle due to an apparently burst tire. He raced from the road, crashed into the protective plank and finally stayed on the left lane. Four people, including the driver and three passengers, suffered minor injuries. A total of three ambulances were deployed, the property damage is estimated at around 7,000 euros. The car was no longer ready to drive after the accident and had to be towed, with 25 fields of the guardrail being damaged.

Also on Sunday, already at 1:30 p.m., a violent heavy rain in the Bad Hersfeld area provided the A4 motorway with mud and stones from a construction site. These penetrated under the protective planks and ensured a complete block of both directions for one hour. The motorway master and the fire brigade were quickly on hand to clean the road. The route was released again at 5:15 p.m.
