Candidate fails in the gambler special: Jauch causes a surprise!
Hamburg, Deutschland - A spectacular "gambler special" awaits the spectators on June 2, 2025 in the popular quiz show "Who Weren Millionaire?", Which has repeatedly caused exciting entertainment since the start in 1999 under the moderation of Günther Jauch. In this episode, 32-year-old candidate Sophia Schubert from Hamburg competes with the opportunity to win up to 2 million euros. One of the special features of this issue is the challenge that the first nine questions have to be answered without the possibility of a joker, which increases the pressure on the candidates enormously. Before her imagination, Schubert expresses a somewhat unusual wish to Jauch: she asks for chocolate, which visibly surprises him. Jauch takes this wish humorously and announces that RTL employees will look for sweets to meet their request.
Unfortunately, Schubert's appearance ended in a dramatic way. She failed due to the 200 euro question, which was: "Memorable events are talking about what?" with the answer options a) emmalen, b) Ernals, c) annals and d) ingalen. The correct answer would have been C, but Schubert left the show without winning a cent.
another emotional appearance
In a previous episode of the show, another candidate, Tamara Löchel from Cologne, had not already made it. She had won 16,000 euros in an earlier episode, but had to give up her entire amount in the current episode during the 3 million euro week and started again from zero. Löchel initially mastered the first three questions, but failed due to the 500 euro question: "How do you describe it with a speaking way if you share the opinion of another?" The answer options were a) drumming on the same fur, b) bumping into the same horn, c) plucking on the same lyre and d) having the same tute. Despite her considerations, her choice fell on a) and then on c), but both answers were wrong. So, like Schubert, she fell back to zero. Jauch commented on the situation with regret and offered her consolation, but Löchel refused and looked emotionally affected.
"Who will be a millionaire?" Still remains one of the most sought -after quiz programs on German television and always attracts a large number of spectators with its formats.
