Anniversary in the Hornbach monastery hotel: celebrate 25 years of success!

Hornbach, Deutschland - On May 25, 2025, the Hotel Kloster Hornbach its 25th anniversary in the Evangelical Klosterkirche of Hornbach. The festive occasion lasted until the evening and brought together around 350 guests from politics, business and the friends of the Lösch family. Moderator Martin Seidler, known from the Südwestrundfunk, recalled the great success of the hotel at the ceremony and expressed that it was almost as if Christmas.

The monastery hotel, which has risen 25 years ago from a ruin to one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Hornbach region, was opened by Edelbert and Christiane Lösch. At the opening in 1995, very few were convinced that such a flourishing hotel could develop from the demolished building stock.

The official ceremony started at 3 p.m. with a greeting by the hosts. The Minister of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture Rhineland-Palatinate, Daniela Schmitt, held the speech, which together with three valley rounds on the history of the hotel, personal retrievations and future prospects gave a deep insight into the developments of the past 25 years.

Musically framed Bernd Nickaes and Daisy Black the event. They delighted those present with the song "Sing Hallelujah". Summer-relaxed sounds also provided an upscale atmosphere, while markets and stands invite you to culinary experiences on the monastery grounds.

The Löschs have announced that the hotel is gradually handed over to their daughter Franziska. This marks a new section in the history of the monastery hotel, which has been considered a contact point for visitors since it was founded. Even after 25 years, the continuous development of the house remains a central concern of the family.

Visitors can still enjoy the special atmosphere of the hotel. On June 1, 2025, an open day takes place at which guided tours are offered by the newly renovated house and a visit to the rooms. Food and drinks are served at the original prices from the opening year 2000. Former kitchen and patisserie talents bring their “signature DISHES”, and selected wines from the region are also offered.

The Klosterhotel Hornbach calmly, but develops to a significant part of the region's tourist identity. The ceremony was a sign of the success of the past and the positive future that lies in front of the hotel.
