On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, a high -quality pedelec was set on fire in downtown Delmenhorst. The incident occurred around 3:25 p.m. in a gear between Langen Straße and Kirchstrasse. An attentive wheel owner was able to extinguish the fire himself, but the fire left devastating damage of around 1,500 euros.

The police assume that strangers have lit the bicycle's mounted luggage bag. The rear wheel, the luggage rack and the switching device were significantly damaged by the heat and flames. The investigation is ongoing and the police are urgently looking for witnesses who can provide information about the unknown perpetrators.
