In the area of responsibility of the Southeast Hesse police headquarters, the e-scooter thefts rose explosively this year with an increase of around 40 percent compared to the previous year. In order to counteract this, officials from the Offenbach police station carried out extensive controls in the night from Friday to Saturday. In Offenbach, 17 e-scooters and their drivers were checked. A 16-year-old who was stopped in Kaiserstrasse could not provide credible information about his vehicle, which is why the police secured the e-scooter and initiated criminal proceedings against him.

At 2:15 a.m., a 28-year-old driver also noticed, who was traveling with 0.69 per thousand and an obviously fake driver's license. A blood sample was also ordered here, and advertisements were reimbursed for drunkenness at the wheel and forgery of documents.
