Supermarket theft: 67-year-old loses EUR 2,000 in Ludwigshafen!

A 67-year-old woman was victims of a brazen theft on June 5, 2025 during her shopping in a supermarket in Ludwigstrasse. She had placed her wallet on her rollator on her rollator. When she left the supermarket, she noticed the lack of her wallet and immediately hurried to the bank to have the EC card locked. To her horror, she found that 2,000 euros had already been withdrawn from her account at an ATM.

The police appeal to the public that they are more careful with their valuables and recommends to always wear hand and shoulder bags close to the body to prevent such thefts.
