In the early morning of May 26, 2025, around 6:15 a.m., there was a dramatic incident at the train station in Andernach: a regular bus was on fire! Fortunately, the driver, who was in the vehicle alone, was able to get to safety in good time before the dense smoke spread.

The fire apparently broke out in the engine compartment of the bus and quickly spread to the entire vehicle, so that the fire brigade was busy with the extinguishing work. Access to the train station was temporarily closed, even for pedestrians. The bus burned out completely, while the cause of the fire has already been recorded by a crime expert. Fortunately, there was no injuries in the fire, but the amount of the damage is still unclear.
