Remagen, Deutschland - This afternoon was registered at 4:20 p.m. at the Water Protection Police station Andernach, a driven rubber boat at Rheinkilometer 631 in the Remagen area, ST Kripp. However, nobody was in the boat, which immediately triggered the alarm and pointed out a possible accident with personal rescue.

The fire brigades from Remagen and Linz as well as a rescue helicopter were mobilized, and the police were also used with their helicopter relay. Large shipping on the Rhine was also warned. Fortunately, the inflatable boat was found and safely brought ashore. An intensive search with fire brigade boats and helicopters showed that there were no people in the water. Initial investigations indicate that the inflatable boat was torn and driven off due to the rising water level. Further investigations are underway.
