On September 11th there was a serious incident at the Salzwedel passenger transport company (PVGS) when unknown persons broke into the company network. Thanks to internal security mechanisms, this unauthorized access was quickly detected. The PVGS is concerned and has immediately initiated measures to contain and investigate the incident. In this context, the responsible data protection authorities were also informed in order to respond comprehensively to the situation.
As part of the immediate measures taken, all affected systems were isolated and secured to prevent possible further damage.
