An oppressive moment on the A9 caused excitement on October 5, 2025. Shortly after the Münchberg-Nord junction heading south, a 19-year-old driver lost control of her Renault Kadjar for reasons that are still unclear. What followed was a dramatic accident: The vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier, swerved across all three lanes, rolled over and landed on its roof in the hard shoulder. Fortunately, the three occupants, including two passengers aged 20 and 18 who come from the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district, remained uninjured.
The accident victims were able to free themselves from the wreckage before first responders provided first aid. As the Bayreuther Tagblatt reports, the rescue service and the Münchberg fire department arrived soon afterwards to look after the injured and the accident scene.
