An incident occurred in Köthen on Wednesday that heated up tempers and caused a stir. According to a report by Day24 The police and the public prosecutor's office are looking for a fugitive robber who rioted in a Rossmann drugstore. The incident happened around 1:45 p.m. on Hallesche Strasse when the unknown perpetrator entered the store and put several items in a bag before trying to walk past the checkout without paying.
The man reacted extremely aggressively to an employee who spoke to him. He threw a shopping cart at the cashier, kicked her and spat on her, further escalating the situation. Two brave customers, 42 and 63 years old, then tried to bring the perpetrator to the ground. However, he grabbed a pair of scissors from the packing station and threatened the women with stabbing movements before escaping towards the market square.
