The game started evenly: after ten minutes it was 8:8. But then the SG Börde boys showed their fighting spirit and achieved an impressive 7-0 run, which meant they were able to pull away with a comfortable 25:16 at halftime. Tom Abmeier and Lasse Rating were the outstanding actors for the hosts. The coach, Kai Nötzel, praised the team performance and especially the defensive preparation that was necessary to assert themselves against Hameln's top scorer, Fynn-Lukas Rakel.
