An exciting handball weekend in the A-Youth Oberliga on November 4th, 2025 has a very special meaning for SG Börde. The unbeaten teams from SG Börde and VfL Hameln met in a thrilling top game that took place in the Schellerter sports hall. Both teams came into the match with 6:0 points each, but in the end SG Börde was able to continue their excellent run and secure the lead in the table with a clear 41:27 win. The game started evenly: after ten minutes it was 8:8. But then the SG Börde boys showed their fighting spirit and achieved an impressive 7-0 run, which meant they were able to pull away with a comfortable 25:16 at halftime. Tom Abmeier and Lasse Rating were the outstanding actors for the hosts. The coach, Kai Nötzel, praised the team performance and especially the defensive preparation that was necessary to assert themselves against Hameln's top scorer, Fynn-Lukas Rakel.

After the break, the Börde players went an impressive 14 minutes without conceding a goal - a phase that enabled the team to extend their lead to a whopping 17 goals. The names of Lasse Rating and Tom Abmeier stick particularly strongly in the fans' memories. Rating scored 9 goals, Abmeier contributed 6. Nick Papke (5 goals) as well as Bent Wiesehan and Linus Mämecke (4 each) also shone with strong performances.
