On July 18, 2025, the Gildebördecup got rolling in Algermissen with excitement and gripping scenes. The opening encounter was a real blast: TSV Giesen defeated FSV Algermissen 3-1 and thus celebrated a successful start to the tournament. Around 150 enthusiastic spectators came to watch the first games of the preparation tournament. Felix Bielicke gave the guests from Giesen an early lead with a precise goal in the 13th minute.
