Strong exchange: Croatian-Bavarian university day in Regensburg!
Regensburg, Deutschland - On June 5 and 6, 2025, the Croatian-Bavarian University Day takes place at the University of Regensburg. This event is organized in cooperation with the Bayhost (Bavarian University Center for Middle, East and Southeast Europe). The aim of the university day is to give a comprehensive insight into the Croatian university and research landscape, to present existing collaborations and initiate new partnerships. President Prof. Dr. Udo Hebel will initiate the event with an opening speech.
The University of Regensburg can look back on many years of cooperation with Croatia, especially with the University of Zagreb, with which close relationships have been maintained for over 15 years. Several significant milestones have been reached in recent years, including the opening of the first Croaticum in Germany and the establishment of a common center for Germany and European studies between Zagreb and Regensburg in 2023.
program and workshops
The Croatian-Bavarian University Day will bring over 80 participants from six Croatian universities and two research institutes as well as nine Bavarian universities and four universities for applied sciences. The program includes meetings of university management and discussions on current topics such as internationalization, digitization, artificial intelligence, technology transfer, sustainability and diversity.
An important part of the event will be the implementation of workshops in which specialist topics are treated, ranging from biotechnology, biotine and medical technology to artificial intelligence and engineering. These workshops offer participants the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from Croatia and find new starting points for future cooperation.
Croatia as an attractive partner
As a cooperation partner,Croatia is particularly attractive to Bavarian universities, since it is a member state of the European Union and has a wide range of English -language study programs. In addition, the country has a high scientific competence and has extensive experience with international projects, such as the Erasmus+program and the Horizon European initiatives.
As part of the university day, information on funding opportunities is also offered, and interested participants can agree on one -on -one discussions with colleagues from Croatia. Bayhost also plans to follow follow -up events in specific departments to further strengthen the cooperation between Bavaria and Croatia.
