World-class dance in Bremen: Dance Sport Festival inspires 800 couples!
Bürgerweide, Bremen, Deutschland - The Dance Sport Festival (DSF) also inspires 2025 The dance sports fans in Bremen. The event takes place on the Bremen Bürgerweide and is an important event in the calendar of the dance sports community. The festival is organized by the Grün-Gold Club Bremen and extends over three days, from Friday to Sunday.
A total of 34 different tournaments are held in different age and performance groups. These contain four world championships: Seniors IV Standard, Solo Adult Female, Youth Ten Dances and Under 21 Latin. In addition, 29 international and a national tournament in the A-Class Latin are on the program. The event attracts almost 800 pairs and more than 175 soloists who enable more than 1,400 starts - a significant increase compared to previous years.

The tournaments are held in several event places, including the Congress Center with the Hansesaal and Borgwardaal as well as Hall 4 at the Bürgerweide. This year, participants from a total of 50 nations have registered, including countries such as Brazil, China and the USA, which underlines the international importance of the festival. Particularly noteworthy is the largest starting field at the World Cup Seniors IV Standard with over 200 couples, especially from Germany and Italy.
Around 200 volunteers, 60 judges and 30 tournament officials are responsible for the organization of the tournaments. The event is also supported by the Detlef Hegemann Foundation, which makes a contribution to the implementation of large sporting events.
Galanacht and show highlights
Another highlight is the gala night on Saturday evening from 8 p.m. in the Hansesaal. Here the final rounds of the highest amateur classes and the World Cup under 21 Latin take place, musically accompanied by the Starlight Band. There will also be an after-show party that rounds off the festive framework. In particular, the Latin formation of the green-gold club as well as the appearances by Maxim Krieger and Lynn Zoe Maruhn, both outstanding dancers with numerous championship titles, promise great show highlights.
Among the German hopes, Yigit Bayraktar and Lukrecija Kuraite Germany represent Germany at the youth world championship in the ten dances. Both won the Junior II World Cup in Bremen until 2023 and also became German runner -up in youth.
