Volkswagen presents the ID. EVERY1: Future of electromobility!
What's new from Wolfsburg? On June 27, 2025, the fully electric entry-level model Volkswagen ID was launched on the Autostadt piazza. EVERY1 presents. This innovative vehicle is intended not only to revolutionize mobility, but also to make a piece of the future tangible. The project also marks the successor to the popular up!, which was on the streets until 2023. Priced at around 20,000 euros, Volkswagen aims to make electromobility accessible to a broader segment of the population and thus usher in a new era of driving. As Volkswagen Newsroom reported, the market launch for 2027 is already on the agenda.
The design of the ID. EVERY1 is fresh and modern. Volkswagen chief designer Andreas Mindt described the car as “bold and accessible”. The sporty design is complemented by dynamic front lights and a “smiling” rear, giving the car character and identity. With a length of 3,880 mm, the ID. EVERY1 sent between the former up! and the newer Polo, offering the perfect middle ground for city drivers.
Innovative technology and sustainability
Not only the design, but also the technology is impressive: The ID. EVERY1 is powered by a newly developed electric motor with 70 kW (95 hp) and achieves a top speed of 130 km/h. The range is at least 250 kilometers – enough for everyday urban life. Passengers have four seats and a trunk volume of 305 liters, ideal for the big little things in life. The vehicle is based on the new modular electric drive system (MEB), which not only uses optimal space but also ensures maximum efficiency. The benefits of a new software architecture also enable lifelong updates and upgrades, which makes the ID. EVERY1 future-proof.
Volkswagen is pursuing the ID family, which includes the ID. EVERY1 counts, ambitious goals. Since 2020, there has been a wide range of electric vehicles that meet individual needs and different price ranges. This switch to electric drives is part of the company's comprehensive sustainability strategy. Volkswagen relies on zero-emission vehicles and an environmentally friendly production chain that uses renewable energy and reduces CO2 emissions. This is discussed in detail by eMobil-Magazin.
Volkswagen in transition
But the ID. EVERY1 is just the beginning. Volkswagen plans to conquer the mass market from 2027 with an entry-level model under 25,000 euros. There will also be further focus on expanding the charging infrastructure to make electric vehicles attractive and practical. In Europe, the USA and China, Volkswagen aims to achieve at least 70% of sales with purely electric cars by 2030. The way to get there is to produce thousands of charging stations and develop solid-state batteries for higher energy densities and shorter charging times.
All of these measures make one clear goal clear: Volkswagen wants to make electromobility a reality for everyone. As the company recently announced, government support through purchase bonuses and tax advantages for electric vehicles will also be crucial in making the step into the electric future easier. And all of this with a great focus on sustainability and recyclability of the batteries.
