From May 1, 2025, a new regulation comes into force that regulates the content of plastics in organic waste. This definition is intended to ensure that foreign substances, in particular plastics, are kept out of the bio-waste treatment processes if possible. Overall, it turns out that the measures related to the bio -waste recycling do not know a standstill. The city administration of Cologne and the corresponding positions have a clear goal in mind: reducing the ecological footprint and optimal use of the recycling materials.
