Particular attention is paid to improving cycle paths. The challenges of the community

A controversial topic is the use of renewable energies, especially with regard to ground-mounted PV systems. The municipality is faced with the task of establishing appropriate criteria and restrictions for development in this area.

Event highlights and cultural offerings

A highlight in the event calendar has already been determined: the popular Rock am Rathaus will take place on August 23, 2025, where the residents of the community can celebrate together. But other events also attract visitors: you definitely shouldn't miss the cucumber market, the 1030th anniversary in Leitzkau as well as the summer festival in Menz and the Hoffest in Nedlitz. The cultural offering is rounded off by concerts by the Central German Chamber Philharmonic on September 7th in Leitzkau and on December 5th in Gommern.

In personal matters, Jens Hünerbein and his wife have thought of something special for this year: After numerous vacations in Greece, they are now planning a trip to Norway.
