In Magdeburg, handball has long since arrived in summer mode. SC Magdeburg has published its preparation plan for the coming season and announces an intensive time for players and coaches. Preparation starts in the second week of July, followed by exciting test matches and a training camp in Switzerland.
Like the page scm-handball.de reported, the first important date on the program is the traditional performance diagnostics on July 24th. Immediately afterwards it gets down to business: On July 25th, SC Magdeburg will face HC Elbflorenz in Halle, followed by further test games against Fredericia and TSV Hannover-Burgdorf.
Test matches and training camps
The training camp will take place in Switzerland from August 6th to 10th. Two exciting encounters are planned here: On August 7th we will play against HSC Suhr Aarau, and on August 9th the SC will play against BSV Bern. After the training camps, the Magdeburgers will also take part in the renowned Wartburg Cup from August 15th to 17th in Eisenach. Games against TBV Lemgo-Lippe, ThSV Eisenach and Skanderborg are on the agenda here.
Then comes another opportunity to prove yourself: On August 20th, SC Magdeburg can be seen at the Hummel Cup in their own city, where they face TVB Stuttgart. All of these activities are intended to optimally prepare the team for the start of the HBL season between August 28th and 31st.
