Saxony-Anhalt starts training offensive for young migrants!

Magdeburg, Deutschland - What is happening in Saxony-Anhalt? In the middle of turbulent times, the Minister of Labor Petra Grimm-Benne spoke in a current message of a pleasant increase in the employment of Ukrainians in the state. According to [migazin] (https://www.migazin.de/2025/07/24/ training offensive- Mehr- Mehr--sachsen-anhalt-job/), 7,300 Ukrainians have now found a job-an increase of 2,000 compared to the previous year. This is particularly remarkable because many of these employees are women with children who had to flee from their homeland.

The Ukrainian workers are active in different industries. They do valuable work in particular in the processing of businesses, trade, health and social affairs as well as in construction and hospitality. The economic services also benefit from this committed group of people. This development takes place against the background that over 40,700 war refugees from Ukraine are registered in Saxony-Anhalt, including about 3,200 in kindergarten age and 7,400 school-age children.

new training campaign for migrants

In order to further support the integration, the “Saxony-Anhalt wants you” was launched in the summer of 2025. This initiative, such as sachsen-anhalt.de, reports the focus on young migrants and their families, which are to be addressed in order to increase their participation in training. Those responsible have set themselves the goal of achieving 1,000 young people.

A central concern of the campaign is to reduce the existing hurdles that many young migrants prevent from training. Missing information about the dual training system and linguistic barriers are often in the way of professional career. In order to counteract this, the campaign not only offers multilingual provision of information, but also individual advice and language support.

diverse event offers

The campaign includes a number of presence and digital events that have already taken place in various cities of Saxony-Anhalt. These include information events in Magdeburg, Dessau, Halle, Schönebeck and Wittenberg. With these events, which are practical and cultural -sensitive, the participants are given the opportunity to find out more about the training system and to clarify individual questions.

The series of events is deliberately designed to address directly within which communities. Language agents support communication and help to find everyone interested in their training. For digital communication, weekly online consultations are available in several languages, including English, Russian and Arabic.

In Saxony-Anhalt's companies, around 5,400 training positions are currently vacant-an opportunity for young migrants who are willing to integrate into the labor market.

For more information on the events and for registration, interested parties contact Lamsa e.V. under training campaign (at) lamsa.de or by phone at 0391-99050545. The joint efforts of employment agencies and organizations are intended to ensure that nobody is left behind and that everyone has the opportunity to build a new life in Saxony-Anhalt.
