On Friday evening, May 30, 2025, there was a dangerous incident in rail traffic at Ludwigsburg station, in which a 25-year-old man was slightly injured. The young German wanted to go from platform 1 to platform 2 around 7:50 p.m. when he apparently overlooked an approaching freight train from Stuttgart. In a desperate attempt to save himself back onto the first platform, he was touched despite an immediate quick braking of the train driver, who was on the road at around 40 km/h.

The alarmed emergency services of the state and federal police took care of the injured man who was traveling with an alcohol content of around 1.2 per thousand. After he was taken care of, he was taken to the hospital. Now the 25-year-old has to expect criminal proceedings for suspicion of the dangerous intervention in rail traffic.
