Three young people after a robbery of 72-year-olds in Salzkotten

In a shocking incident in the parking lot of a supermarket in Salzkotten, a 72-year-old woman was victim of a robbery. On Wednesday morning, June 4, the senior left the supermarket when a perpetrator suddenly tore her handbag violently. Despite her desperate attempts to capture the bag, she contracted an injury to her hand and finally let go. As a result, the perpetrators and two other young people fled towards the train station.

Thanks to quick police work and numerous witnesses, two suspicious boys aged 13 and 14 were arrested near the underpass to Verner Strasse. Parts of the prey and the handbag were secured. The two young people were brought to the police station and then handed over to their legal guardians. A third alleged perpetrator, a 15-year-old, was also identified. The injured woman was taken to the hospital in Salzkotten.
