Bautzen Theater Summer delights 38,000 spectators with Alice in Wonderland!
In the heart of Bautzen, this year’s “Bautzen Theater Summer” experienced a real rush of spectators. Around 38,000 visitors stormed the open-air stage and created a breathtaking atmosphere in the shadow of the historic Ortenburg. The highlight of the festival was the new production of “Alice in Wonderland”, which had a whopping 35 sold-out performances. A total of 35,629 spectators enjoyed the wonderful adventures that the German-Sorbian Folk Theater Bautzen brought to the stage. This is announced by MDR.
This season, the open-air production was the culmination of a series of events that included a total of 748 events and attracted around 121,000 people to the various pieces. With a colorful mix of international theater meetings, guest performances in cities such as Bucharest and Santiago de Compostela as well as 27 premieres, the season was characterized by lively bilingualism and enormous diversity.

- Wetterbedingungen: Auch bei ungünstigem Wetter werden die Vorstellungen durchgeführt. Regenschirme sind bei den Aufführungen nicht erlaubt, jedoch können Regencapes vor Ort erworben werden.
- Preise: Die Ticketpreise variieren je nach Vorverkaufszeitraum und Vorstellungen. Vorverkaufsrabatte von bis zu 5 Euro pro Karte sind bis zum 11. Juni erhältlich.
