Brunch with inclusion: Cultural highlight in Bischofswerda on August 3!
Belmsdorfer Straße, 01877 Bischofswerda, Deutschland - On August 3, a very special event takes place in Bischofswerda: "Brunch with culture - culture with brunch". This initiative organized by the Rainbow Association aims to bring people with and without disabilities together through art and cuisine. The Treff B28 in Belmsdorfer Straße becomes the scene of creativity and encounter from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The guests can expect a varied buffet with vegan, vegetarian, lactose and gluten-free dishes, which are prepared by the Lebenshilfe Bischofswerda and fresh vegetables from the crowd.
A Highlight of the brunch is the painting performance by Joe Richter, a talented artist from Dresden, who became known by participating in recognized exhibitions such as the Documenta in Kassel. Richter's works are deeply shaped by his autism diagnosis; Each picture tells a personal story and provides insights into its emotional world. In addition, the Dutch flux wildly will perform, the extravagant performances of which enrich the creative experience again.
including art and personal stories
The event under the motto "Brunch Inclusive" is a step towards a better participation of people with disabilities in cultural events. The “Artists in Light” project promotes autistic artists and offers them the necessary personal assistance for their artistic expression. The vision behind it is to use art as a bridge from the ego to you to promote encounters and interactions. Autistic people often face the challenge of expressing their talents in a supportive environment. The support association supports with creative tandems from regional artists and autistic people.
Inclusion, however, is not always easy to implement. Cultural institutions must face the challenges associated with physical and mental accessibility. Both internal and external barriers are often in the way that make it difficult for people with disabilities to actively participate in cultural events. Courage, perseverance and a positive error culture are required here.
participation and registration
The participation fees for the brunch amount to 20 euros for adults, while children up to 8 years can take part in free. For 9 to 16 year olds, the price is 10 euros. Interested parties can register by phone at 03594 2562100 or via the website www.regenbogen-biw.de. This event not only promises culinary delights, but also valuable encounters and a creative exchange between people with different backgrounds.
The commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities is an important step to reduce barriers and celebrate diversity. Because, as the initiators of the event know, art can not only entertain, but also combine.
