Controls in Bensheim: Illegal gaming machines and shisha tobacco ensured!

On Thursday evening, May 29, the emergency services of the Bensheim police station, together with the tax investigation of the Darmstadt tax office, the main customs office and the regulatory office, carried out extensive checks in several restaurants and shishabars. An illegal gaming machine was ensured and several kilos of self-made shisha tobacco was confiscated, since it was either not properly marked or illegally stretched.

The control surgery also revealed serious violations of the Residence Act, including the illegal employment of a person in the kitchen of a restaurant. The operator of the restaurant now also sees serious allegations. The main customs office of Darmstadt is currently investigating possible further illegal jobs in the verified companies. The authorities have already announced that they will continue these intensive controls in the Region to consistently enforce the regulations.
