A top-class beer festival is coming up in Chemnitz! From July 16th to 20th, 2025, Innere Klosterstrasse and Jakobikirchplatz will be transformed into a true paradise for beer lovers. The Brewery market, organized by Sven Hertwig from exclusiv events, brings together over 40 restaurants and breweries offering more than 100 different types of beer from national and international sources. Whether from Spain, Greece, England or Ireland – there is something for every taste!
With an expected number of visitors of around 20,000 people, the brewery market will be one of the largest beer events in the region. The organizers have provided a total of 20,000 liters of beer so that no one will be left thirsty. A limited tasting glass showing a unique design by Karl-Heinz Richter with Karl Marx and a lady can be purchased for 15 euros.
Culinary diversity and entertainment
But it's not just for beer lovers. The culinary offering is also expanding and offers a wide range of sweet and savory dishes. If you prefer something exciting, you can take part in an exciting competition. Anyone who tries ten different types of beer and has them stamped has the chance to win vouchers worth up to 100 euros.
At the weekend, the brewery market will also provide captivating entertainment with live bands and DJs on six stages. And for motorcycle fans there is a special attraction on Sunday from 3 p.m.: a biker meeting with around 30 motorcycles, which adds a cool touch to the event.
Opening times and attractions
The opening times offer many opportunities to visit the festival:

- Samstag: 14–24 Uhr
- Sonntag: 14–20 Uhr
There are no planned expansions for the event, which has been extending behind the town hall since 2023, as the focus is on diversity and quality. This promises an unforgettable beer experience for all visitors.
