The bakery, which began over 120 years ago as a small bakery in Bornheim-Merten, is celebrating a round anniversary this year. Today the company already has 48 branches in the Rhineland and employs over 700 people who continue the traditional bakery trade in the fifth generation.
The new master Schäfer also took responsibility for the training of the apprentices this year. In his new role, he was already able to welcome a trainee in the team that recently successfully completed his training. And there is even more offspring: In summer a new bakery apprentice will start with Meister Schäfer, which ensures the future of craft in the long term.
